#Unmissable places in Lima, Peru
The capital of Peru offers an incredibly strong selection, but which of these are the truly #unmissable?
It is often very difficult to find the #unmissable restaurants in a saturated market due to the lack of reliable sources. Lima is a prime example of this. Everyone has heard about the fantastic nature of Peruvian gastronomy over the past few decades, but few people get the chance to thoroughly taste their way through it. As a result, they might end up visiting 1-2 good places and praising them, even though there may be much better ones out there.
I started exploring Lima’s culinary scene 13 years ago, I visited Central and Astrid y Gastón already back then, these were the two big names at the time. Since then, I’ve returned several times, most recently this February when I tasted the top contenders again, after having done so the previous May, expecting that Central would become the best restaurant in the world. It did. But is it really? And are the other Peruvian spots from the World's 50 Best list worth a visit? And where should you go for the best coffee or ceviche?
