The World’s 50 Best Restaurants has been announced

But which one in the top 10 would I not return to? And which 9 would I go back to in a heartbeat?

Yesterday – as usual – I attended the World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards ceremony, which took place this time in Turin.

I filmed this video there as well – and this one captures the emotional moments on stage, just after the group photo was taken.

I've already dined at the vast majority of the awarded restaurants — no surprise, since I spend most of the year traveling the world for exactly this reason. I’ve eaten at nearly all of the top 10, in many cases not just once, but multiple times. This year alone I revisited several, and there's even one I’ve been to 20–30 times.

So yes, I have a pretty strong opinion about them.

Out of the top 10, there are 9 I’d happily return to anytime — and one I really wouldn’t.
